Phish brought their two-night stand at Savannah, GA’s Enmarket Arena to a close. The shows were the Vermont Quartet’s debut appearances in the Southern city, an increasing rare occurrence for a band that has been together for over 40 years.

In Roanoke, VA Billy Strings finally opened his summer tour. Strings and his group had been off the road since mid-April when he in broke his leg after leaving the stage during the group’s April 18 performance at Charlottesville’s John Paul Jones Arena. As he said at the time, “Well, I can’t say y’all didn’t warn me about screwing around on my skateboard. Saturday night, I walked off stage right before the encore. I was all zazzed up from a really fun show. I grabbed my board and tried to do a trick I’ve done a million times (back 180), landed awkwardly and broke my leg. I heard it snap over the screaming crowd. It sounded like a damn 2×4.”

moe. will return to Boston over Halloween weekend. The Buffalo-bred band will appear at The Wilbur on October 30 and 31, promising in a brief announcement accompanied by some groovy ’70s imagery that “something wicked is coming to Boston this Halloween.” An artist pre-sale is slated to begin Wednesday, July 15 at 10am and come to a close on Thursday, July 16 at 10pm local. The group last appeared at the historic venue, which originally opened in 1914 and has a capacity of around 1,200, in November of 2025.

New York’s Brooklyn Bowl has announced the details for its annual Rosh Hashanah celebration, which will take place in September. The musically driven High Holiday service, a 15-year tradition for the venue’s community, is slated to take place Saturday, September 12 at 10am. The morning will feature a full, traditionally rooted Rosh Hashanah service, plain-sense explanations of the religious aspects of the holiday, prayer, shofar blowing, meditation and live music drawn from throughout the Jewish diaspora.

Thundercat has confirmed a slew of new dates. The Distracted AF Tour will take the bassist, born Stephen Bruner, across the U.S. and Canada this fall, kicking off at Miami, FL’s Miami Beach Bandshell on October 2 and coming to a close with a special Holiday Hootenanny concert in Austin, TX on December 11. An eclectic mix of guests will support Thundercat along the way, including Channel Tres (DJ Set), TiaCorine, Fera, 54 Ultra and Kitty Ca$h.

Early into our conversation, Skerik said, “I’ve always been a band person and recording band music. It’s only in the past few years that I’ve really been making a lot more solo records. There was no way to make a solo record in the ‘80s or ‘90s. It was just way too expensive. Now, we can experiment and make things. It’s a lot easier to put out. It’s really fun. I really like it.”

The Tim O’Brien/Sam Grisman/Victor Furtado Trio shows scheduled to take place at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, next month have been replaced with a new date at the nearby Bearsville Theater. In a note, Grisman posted, “Hey everyone! Our Tim O’Brien/Sam Grisman/Victor Furtado Trio shows scheduled for Levon’s Barn on August 13 & 14, 2026 are now cancelled. Refunds will automatically be provided to your method of purchase. We are very happy to announce instead the trio will be playing one night only at Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on Thursday, August 13. Tickets will be on-sale July 14. We can’t wait to see everyone in the historic town of Woodstock for a great night of music and community celebration!”
