Billy Strings will release a new album, So Much for Goodbyes, on August 28 via Reprise Records. Along with the record’s announcement, Strings has also dropped the first single from the project, “Burn the Other End,” which he wrote with Greensky Bluegrass’ Paul Hoffman.

Bob Dylan continues to switch up his band. As previously reported, jazz guitarist Julian Lage has been playing with the group ever since a performance at the Santa Barbara Bowl on June 17. Lage stepped in for Doug Lancio, who had been on the road with the Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour since it kicked off in November of 2021. However, Lage’s tenure with Dylan appeared to be short-lived from the start–or at least contain one notable conflict–since the guitarist had a previously scheduled show at Brooklyn, NY’s National Sawdust yesterday.

George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Stephen Marley, moe., Lettuce and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country are among the acts slated to appear on Jam Cruise 23. The destination event will set sail from Miami, FL, heading to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, onboard the MSC Poesia from February 4-10, 2027.

The jamgrass outfit’s latest additions to the calendar include stops at Marshfield, MA’s Levitate Backyard & Rexicana Surf Cantina on September 4 and Rockport, MA’s Shalin Liu Performance Center on September 5, before the musicians’ previously confirmed September 6 stop at Charlestown, RI’s Rhythm & Roots 2026. They have also added appearances at Albany, NY’s The Egg on October 7, Tarrytown, NY’s Tarrytown Music Hall on October 9, Lebanon, NH’s Lebanon Opera House on October 10 and a four-night run at Park City, UT’s Egyptian Theatre from December 3-6. This Friday Yonder will appear at the Nelson Ledges Quarry Park Grassfire Festival 2026 in Garrettsville, OH.

Chris Thile, Blake Mills, Jack Antonoff, Alex G and Bright Eyes’ Mike Mogis are among the notable musicians listed in the credits for Phoebe Bridgers’ new single, “Lost Boys.” The track, which appears on her first album in six years, Lost Weekend, also boasts contributions from Bridgers’ boygenius partners Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, her regular collaborator Christian Lee Hutson, Rob Moose, Nate Walcott and Harrison Whitford. Bridgers produced the track with Antonoff, The Belle Brigade’s Ethan Gruska and her frequent producer Tony Berg, who recently worked with Bruce Hornsby on his latest album and often utilizes Blake Mills. Bridgers will release the new set on August 14 and kick off an extensive arena tour a month later on September 14 in Indianapolis.
