On Tuesday evening, Billy Strings arrived at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, N.C., for the first in a four-night series of live performances. The concert served as the latest entry on the fast-picking player’s Winter Tour, which previously commenced in Athens, Ga. with tributes to the late Bobby Weir [covers of “Me & My Uncle” and “Cassidy”] as well as a nod to Widespread Panic’s ruby jubilee. Last night’s entry functioned as a pacesetter, giving the five-piece the flexibility to decorate their two-set display while remaining on the logical path to the night’s finish line.

A three-day Grateful Dead celebration is coming to Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, Ohio, July 24-26, 2026. Fittingly titled Gratefulfest, the initial artist lineup previews the musicians and acts who have signed on to deliver a tie-dye-filled weekend to remember in The Buckeye State.

Today, Farm Aid shared that a new member has joined its prestigious Board of Directors. A stalwart of Americana music, Nathaniel Rateliff has become the third artist to take on the title, after founding members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp, and latter-day position holders Dave Matthews and Margo Price.
Grateful Dead – Road Trips Vol. 1 No. 2: October ‘77 revisits one of the band’s most celebrated creative peaks. Released in March 2008, this installment stitches together highlights from Norman, OK (10/11), Houston, TX (10/14), and Baton Rouge, LA (10/16), capturing the effortless interplay and tight improvisation that made 1977 a benchmark year for the Dead. The Bonus Disc expands the experience with the beloved “Scarlet Begonias → Fire on the Mountain” pairing and more gems from that same week.

There’s nothing like confining the foremost artists from the jam world to a boat to spur a celebration of community, and with all passengers now firm on their sea legs, the festival’s penultimate program was defined by spontaneous homage and collaboration.

Brandi Carlile has tacked on a third night to her highly anticipated Eastern Washington-hosted concert series, dubbed Echoes Through The Canyon, to accommodate the return of The Highwomen. Previously, the 11-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and producer outlined her plans for the Gorge Amphitheatre weekend, which has now been expanded to run from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, 2026.

On July 24-25, 2026, Eaux Claires Festival will return for the first time after an eight-year lapse. The event, led by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, is set to be revived at a new location: Carson Park in Eau Claire, Wis., the historically significant stadium where Hank Aaron began his home run record and surpassed the previous holder, Babe Ruth.
