RECAP

Radiohead reunited on Tuesday for their first public performance in seven years. At Madrid’s Movistar Arena, the legendary avant-rock quintet introduced their eagerly anticipated new era through a refreshed stage setup and a carefully curated selection of hits from throughout their discography.

A mantra from the '90s lot scene, revived for right now. This throwback tee nods to bold block-type posters and parking-lot bootlegs that followed the band from city to city, with an oversized front hit that reads loud and clear. Classic deadhead attitude, easy everyday wear. Built for comfort and that worn-in vibe. The design is printed on a White Comfort Colors 1717 T-Shirt for a soft hand, relaxed fit, and timeless look.

“For our 25th anniversary, we were talking about what we were going to do, and I started making this joke that we should release a greatest hits record. Except I thought we should go in and make new recordings of all of these songs, not just compile the songs from their original recordings,” says Greensky Bluegrass co-founder Paul Hoffman of the band’s initial plans to celebrate their quarter-century as a vibrant unit. “But when we started to open the door to the album, we had all these additional ideas. We said, ‘What if we have guests? What if we rerecord songs with our older voices and better playing?’ Then we just started doing all of those things.”

Dubbed Cyro Baptista at 75: A Banquet for the Spirits, the two-day event will take place on November 7 and 8, nodding to his singular career that has included work with the likes of Paul Simon, Herbie Hancock, John Zorn, Laurie Anderson, Medeski Martin & Wood and David Byrne, as well as his own Beat the Donkey.
