The sole surviving member of the classic Allman Brothers Band lineup has extended his participation in a new live appearance. The Peach State band’s founding member and pioneering backbeat [with fellow accomplice Butch Trucks], Jaimoe, has signed on to rejoin the Friends of the Brothers lineup on two different dates this summer.
Les Claypool has spent four decades making bass guitar sound like nothing else in rock, and Primus has always operated on their own wavelength, too weird for metal, too heavy for alternative, beloved by exactly the right people. This limited pressing bundles recent standalone releases with new material, giving collectors a proper physical artifact of where the band stands right now. Primus return with a brand new song, "The Ol' Grizz." The song travels through high-speed bass riffs, spaced-out arpeggios and double bass drumbeats to create a singular sound that can only be described as Primus.
