King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Relix Drop Exclusive Flame Throwers: Volumes Two and Three Live Records

King Gizzard’s new entries for the Relix exclusive run capture the unpredictable, undefinable and explosive peaks of the genre-obliterating Australian sextet’s fall 2024 US tour, pressed with unprecedented clarity in eye-popping triple-LP packages.
In February of 2021, The Relix Sessions kicked off its limited edition vinyl series with Circles Around The Sun’s standout performance from Relix’s New York City office on 2/28/20. Ever since, we’ve released 17 titles, remixing and remastering lightning-in-a-bottle performances from Billy Strings, Goose, Greensky Bluegrass, Maggie Rose, and more for hardcore fans and vinyl enthusiasts.
moe. have unveiled moe. – The Relix Session, a new exclusive live record pressed in partnership with Relix. Captured live on stage from the legendary jam ensemble’s performance at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on May 19, 2023, the vinyl-only album features top-tier treatments of 13 classics from throughout the band’s three-decade run. Fans can pre-order the project online exclusively through Relix, and the group will take copies on the road as a featured item on its newly announced 35th Anniversary Tour this fall.
Often hailed as one of the greatest performances in Grateful Dead history, this iconic 6/10/73 RFK Stadium show stands tall alongside legendary dates like 2/13/70, 8/27/72, and 5/8/77. A hallmark of the Dead’s revered 1973 tour, this show opens with a powerful “Morning Dew” and flows through epic, exploratory versions of “Bird Song,” “Playing in the Band,” “Here Comes Sunshine,” “Eyes of the World,” and a transcendent “Dark Star.”
What truly sets this show apart is its nearly hour-long encore/third set, featuring members of the Allman Brothers Band, who shared the bill that day, creating a rare and thrilling collaboration. This complete, previously unreleased recording has been lovingly restored using Plangent Processes tape restoration and speed correction, and mastered by Jeffrey Norman.
Goose have unveiled an official vinyl release for their unforgettable performance at Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy. Captured during the band’s singular March 11 event and published in collaboration with Relix, Live in New York preserves the electrifying energy of the Everything Must Go Experience and the apex of the indie-jam ensemble’s instrumental prowess, put to the test over the course of a fully improvised 90-minute set. The standard-setting performance is limited to 3,500 numbered copies, available to pre-order now.
On September 23, 2018, Oteil Burbridge brought a version of his solo group to the Borderland Festival in East Aurora, NY. The bassist’s band for this appearance included guitarists John Kadlecik and Scott Metzger, drummer John Kimock and Oteil’s older brother Kofi on keyboards and flute. The five musicians delivered a set of Jerry Garcia/Grateful Dead themed-material that was memorable in the moment and carries additional resonance because Kofi Burbridge passed away five months later.
The Oteil & Friends performance has just been released as a limited edition two-LP set. This was not just the final time that the Burbridge brothers performed together, it also was only the second occasion in which Kofi explored the Garcia catalog with Oteil (with the previous instance occurring one day earlier on Kofi’s 57th birthday at the Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Festival in Felton, California).
