Last night, Drive-By Truckers reunited with one-time member Jason Isbell during their performance slot on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The televised staging found the band back together again in support of their pivotal 2003 album, The Definitive Decoration Day, which was recently remixed and remastered as an expanded box set collectible. During the appearance on Colbert, the group reprised their track, “Hell No, I Ain’t Happy.”

Last night, husband-and-wife powerhouse Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks appeared on the holiday television special CMA Country Christmas. Motor City gospel singer BeBe Winans joined the pair to perform the spiritual Christmas carol, “Children, Go Where I Send Thee,” giving the classic number a soulful treatment that stayed true to each musician’s signature style.

Legendary poster artist Stanley Mouse created this striking print for The Heart of Town, a three-night concert series at Pier 48 in Mission Rock, San Francisco, celebrating 60 years of the music and community born in the Bay Area jam scene. Supergroup, Toy Factory Project, comprised of members Paul T. Riddle, Marcus King, Oteil Burbridge, Charlie Starr, and Josh Shilling, will reprise the sound and sensation of Toy Caldwell and The Marshall Tucker Band with a heartfelt two-night tribute on the esteemed Capitol Theatre stage in Port Chester, N.Y., on February 26 and 27.

“This is by far the biggest show I’ve ever put together. I’ve never worked on a show this hard and this long. I’d say 90% of this stuff has never been seen,” explains curator Brian Chambers as he describes the realization of an idea that he first envisioned nearly two years ago. On December 6, the Chambers Project Gallery and PACT: Psychedelic Arts and Culture Trust will present 60 Years of the Grateful Dead, which is billed as “the most comprehensive exhibition of original Grateful Dead artwork ever assembled.” It will run through June 1, 2026 at Chambers’ gallery in Grass Valley, Calif.

Dark Star Orchestra has enlisted Michael Kennedy of Splintered Sunlight to fill in for guitarist Rob Eaton, after the Grateful Dead cover band’s rhythm guitarist and Weir-inspired vocalist announced a break from the road to focus on his health. Initially, Eaton penned a message to fans and followers with the intention of taking minimal time away from the stage. Today, the band delivered an update indicating that Eaton’s absence will extend through December 6.
