Farm Aid will reach its 40th milestone this year. To mark the homegrown celebration of the American farmer, the annual live music component of the occasion and concert location has been unveiled. Farm Aid 40 will occur on September 20, 2025, at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, led by Willie Nelson, Neil Young [and the Chrome Hearts], Dave Matthews [and Tim Reynolds], John Mellencamp, and Margo Price.

Billy Strings has unveiled his fall schedule. The bluegrass golden boy and his band, Billy Failing, Jarrod Walker, Alex Hargreaves, and Royal Masat, will begin their jaunt with a series of European appearances, before arriving in the United Kingdom and eventually the US in time for a two-night Halloween appearance in Baltimore.

On May 5, 1965, the Warlocks played their first public show at Magoo’s Pizza in Menlo Park. Months later, they became the Grateful Dead. This tee honors the venue where it all began—before the acid tests, the stadiums, and the legend. A must for any Deadhead, old or new.

After 22 years, Kris Myers has parted ways with Umphrey’s McGee. In a post to the band’s social channels, both the longtime drummer and the undefinable fusion ensemble he helped shape shared statements reflecting on the split, their years together and the journey ahead. Myers’ departure is effective immediately, and the group has not yet named a successor for their rhythm section.

Yusuf/ Cat Stevens has announced the long-awaited release of his forthcoming memoir, Cat On The Road To Findout. The book is due in the UK on September 18 via Constable and in North America on October 7 through Genesis Publications. It provides fans and interested readers a glimpse into the ‘60s pop limelight, which led to the musician’s ‘70s popularity along an expansive road of self-discovery.

Jorma Kaukonen will celebrate his 85th birthday on the road. The musician known for his Jefferson Airplane roots will participate in a four-stop run, beginning on November 1, 2025, at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The impending jaunt comes before the artist’s December 23rd birthday, and lays the tracks for in-person celebrations.
