The Who Deliver Tour Debut of “Another Tricky Day”

Farm Aid, the annual charity concert that raises financial aid for US farmers through the arrival of unparalleled musical performances, returned for its 40th season on Saturday, September 20. The 2025 iteration of the beloved fundraiser brought high-profile acts to the University of Minnesota’s Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, where they each performed a handful of songs during their individual sets, before assembling during Willie Nelson’s event-ending frame for a series of traditional collaborations.

On Friday, September 19, one person was killed and two more were injured in a stabbing that occurred outside Phish’s concert at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va. Local police responded to the incident, which reportedly began around 9:30 p.m. when an argument broke out and escalated into a deadly altercation, resulting in the death of one individual and the hospitalization of another, the third sustained non-life threatening injuries. Following the concert, Phish shared a statement on social media addressing the incident and expressing their sadness.

On Friday, Sept. 19, The Who stepped onstage at the iconic Hollywood Bowl for the third and final Los Angeles performance of their “The Song Is Over” North American Farewell Tour. Through their fond farewell to audiences in the US and Canada so far, he legendary rock innovators have reliably delivered electrifying performances of favorites from throughout their expansive catalog, occasionally embellished with rarities, track resurrections and other surprises. With their final send-off to Southern California, the band mixed up their routine setlist with a tour debut of “Another Tricky Day.”

On Saturday evening, Goose arrived at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago for the final regional appearance on their current fall outing. The group’s Windy City arrival followed a series of Midwest performances, which began on Wednesday, September 17, as a co-bill with Mt. Joy. The band stopped in Wisconsin and Michigan on their way to Chicago, which served as a landing spot for their debut cover, emerging during set one as a first-time play.

Umphrey’s McGee stepped onstage in Livingston, Mont., on Saturday, Sept. 20, for their second night at Pine Creek Lodge and the final performance in their summer segment of their exhilarating Cruising Altitude tour. Since January, the pioneering jam-fusion ensemble has trucked back and forth across the country–and off to Morocco-with unstoppable momentum. Along the way, they’ve experienced countless memorable moments, including the departure of longtime drummer Kris Myers and the arrival of Scotty Zwang, his already acclaimed replacement. Saturday’s performance brought this chapter and the group’s proper tour dates for the remainder of the year to a close with a fittingly celebratory send-off.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead have shared an extended look at their forthcoming performance schedule. The band, known for delivering originals and associated covers from the Grateful Dead’s songbook, will play three newly announced concerts at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., on January 16-18, 2026.

Leftover Salmon will continue its Thanksgiving tradition of bringing songs and special guests to the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colo., this fall. Previously, the jamgrass unit, which celebrates its triumphant 35th anniversary this year, announced plans to perform on Friday, November 28, and Saturday, November 29, with select assistance and openers. Now, as the event edges closer, more talent has been added to the bill.
