On Saturday, May 31, Billy Strings returned to Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., for his second and final appearance at this location on his current Spring outing. Last night’s performance bolstered nods to the frontman’s past during the concert’s second half, including a cover that winked at his recent sit-in with Bob Dylan on Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Tour, and later, a direct ode to his roots by pulling out The Dillards’ “Old Home Place.”
Introducing Kitchen Dwellers – The Relix Session, a limited-edition 2-LP set on psychedelic 140g infinity splatter vinyl. Recorded live over two unforgettable nights at Brooklyn Bowl Williamsburg, this album captures the band’s raw energy, inventive jams, and fan-favorite tracks.

Many times after writing a new piece of music, I am consumed by a sense of bewilderment as to “where” this music came from—how it came to enter my psyche and essentially use me as both midwife and birther in the labor of bringing it into this world. Many times, taking credit for a composition feels almost uncomfortable, like an explorer passing off an ancient discovered treasure as his own creation.
