Gov’t Mule paid tribute to ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard during their performance at Livingston, MT’s Pine Creek Lodge Montana last night. A few hours after learning that Beard passed away in hospice, the members of Gov’t Mule, who have deep roots with the ZZ Top family and have recorded with the band’s guitarist/singer Billy Gibbons, offered their spin on a pair of ZZ Top cuts.

Cameron Winter will release his first concert album, Live at Carnegie Hall, on October 9. The set captures Winter’s December 11, 2025, performance at the famed New York theater, when he became one of the youngest solo artists to headline the concert hall’s main auditorium. The Geese frontman performed alone throughout the night, reworking songs from his 2024 debut solo album, Heavy Metal and the EP tracks “Take It With You” and “Vines.” Paul Thomas Anderson and Benny Safdie reportedly filmed the event.

Grahame Lesh has confirmed a round of fall dates with Grahame Lesh & Friends. The run will kick off with a trio of Massachusetts Halloween weekend shows—October 29 at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, followed by October 30–31 at The Muse in Nantucket. Then, from November 12–14, the project will return to Los Angeles for a three-night stand at Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever. The tour will head South from there for gigs at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC, on December 18, and Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on December 19. As previously reported, Lesh will also ring in 2027 with a two-night New Year’s celebration at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on December 30–31, where Grahame Lesh & Friends will be joined by Kanika Moore and the Wolfpack.

The Disco Biscuits have filled out their fall 2026 tour with two additional weekends, both of which consist of four dates across the Northeast. The new concerts include a two-night run at Worchester, MA’s The Palladium on October 30 and 31, highlighted by a Halloween show where the band will provide an improvisational soundtrack to a yet-be-be-named film as part of a special Movie Night.

Old Crow Medicine Show have confirmed their New Year’s Eve plans. For the 17th year, the ensemble will spend December 31 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, the famed former home of the Grand Ole Opry colloquially known as the Mother Church. This year, Old Crow will appear at the venue on December 30 and 31, with North Mississippi Allstars opening both nights.

Guster hit the road in mid-August right after their annual On the Ocean festival and kept that event’s collaborative spirit intact as they moved through the Northeast. On Tuesday, August 11, the group performed at South Deerfield, MA’s Tree House Brewing Company, with Rubblebucket’s Alex Toth opening the night with his eponymous Tōth project. The members of Guster also welcomed Toth back to the stage during their set to play trumpet on one of their signature tunes, the 1996 Goldfly track “Airport Song.”
