Jesse Welles brought Croton-on-Hudson’s second-annual Hudson River Music Festival to a close last night, inviting out most of the event’s marquee performers for a sing-along version of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land.” It was a fitting end to the environmentally conscious gathering, which grew out of the Clearwater/Great Hudson River Revival Festival Guthrie’s contemporary Pete Seeger hosted on the same site for decades in an effort to cleanup the adjacent Hudson River.

Carlos Santana has paid tribute to his longtime friend Clive Davis. The visionary producer and executive, who served as president of Columbia Records, co-founded Arista Records and oversaw the RCA Music Group as CEO and chairman, died earlier today due to what has been described as an “age-related illness.” He was 94 and had been hospitalized this spring with respiratory problems.

Wilco returned to Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday night, headlining a fitting Father’s Day-Eve bill given the “Dad Rock” tag they have been branded with for almost two decades. While most of Wilco’s recent shows have been two-set “evening with” engagements, on this night the group offered an extended set and two encores, with longtime friends Yo La Tengo opening the night.

Dave Matthews Band have announced that they will begin streaming official audio from every stop on their current summer tour, with each show arriving on nugs the day after it’s performed. The first concert to get the new streaming treatment will be the group’s June 23 stop in Shakopee, MN. Fans will also be able to catch up with select shows from the beginning of the summer outing, which have already been posted to nugs.

The Rolling Stones have launched a new official podcast, Speaking In Tongues, in advance of their forthcoming studio album, Foreign Tongues. Narrated by Norah Jones, whose podcast credits include her own Norah Jones Is Playing Along, the series will boast interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood and offer a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of The Rolling Stones’ latest release.

Goose’s New York run continued over the weekend, with their second consecutive concert at Madison Square Garden on Saturday and a last-minute underplay at the 5,500-person Central Park SummerStage on Sunday. Musically, Saturday’s performance picked up where the meat of Friday’s second set left off, with frequent collaborator Stuart Bogie augmenting the band on woodwinds.

Julian Lage’s unexpected turn as Bob Dylan’s electric guitarist continued over the weekend. As previously reported, on Wednesday at Santa Barbara, CA’s Santa Barbara Bowl, Lage filled in for Doug Lancio, who has been Dylan’s regular guitarist since the Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour began in 2021, without any explanation.
