On Wednesday, Tedeschi Trucks Band resumed their ongoing, venue-specific residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre. Night eight brought only a sampling of their new LP, Future Soul, two tracks, specifically “I Got You” and “Under the Knife.” Rather than rely on their own songs, the troupe picked up a whopping 11 covers, ranging from well-regarded pieces that touched on Derek and the Dominos, Bob Dylan, Howlin’ Wolf, Sly and the Family Stone, and other songbooks, which helped transport the audience out of the current moment and time-travel through music history.

Now, Clinton has formally announced when the Mothership will fly again.

It’s 2026, and it’s easier than ever to feel ungrounded—endless Internet doomscrolling at home, and the world on fire outside. Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett feels you. She’s called her latest album, Creature of Habit, “a dichotomy—beauty versus the darkness,” but the feeling she encapsulates is that wandering, unmoored sensation of being adrift amidst the madness. The album isn’t as disorienting as that might sound; Barnett works to embrace the uncertainty lyrically and musically, creating a warm, intimate and mellow set of guitar songs that’s among her best.
