NEWS

In February, Sony Pictures Classics opened a window into the inception of one of the greatest bands of all time with Becoming Led Zeppelin. The legendary heavy metal innovators’ first-ever officially sanctioned documentary chronicled their early years and ascent through archival materials and first-hand accounts from the iconic quartet, earning an outpouring of critical acclaim and a record-breaking opening weekend for IMAX®-exclusive music features. Today, on top of the wealth of long-lost rarities compiled for the original release, the film has unveiled an exclusive Encore: a never-before-seen 15-minute performance of “Dazed & Confused,” captured live in Amsterdam in 1969.

On Oct. 26, 2019, Scott Sharrard was preparing to play his first show with Little Feat when the band received the tragic news they had been dreading—Paul Barrere, the veteran singer, guitarist and songwriter Sharrard was slated to temporarily fill in for, had passed away that very morning, following a four-year struggle with liver cancer.

RECAP

On Tuesday, August 19, Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts delivered their second night of music on the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. During the concert, which occurred in Young’s hometown, the bandleader continued his current trend of reviving personal material during the first half of the performance, carving a slot for a tour debut, and reintroducing a select song into the mix. Resuming the motif, Young led the band through the first “I’m The Ocean” since the group’s enthusiastic embrace of their 2024 run at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y.
