Back in February, Neil Young cancelled his summer European tour with the Chrome Hearts. At that time he indicated, “Everything is OK. Just needed a break. Listening to my body.” Then in mid-August he confirmed two late September co-bills with Willie Nelson & Family in the days leading up to Farm Aid 2026.

Grace Potter’s Grand Point North festival returned to Burlington’s Waterfront Park over the weekend. Potter not only performs with her own group but typically collaborates with some of the other artists as well during the event. This year was no different.

Gerrit Graham, the actor, screenwriter and songwriter passed away last week in Rhinebeck, NY, after a longtime illness. Graham, who co-wrote numerous songs with Bob Weir, including the Grateful Dead’s “Victim or the Crime” was 77.

The David Nelson Band first came together in 1994 to perform the music of the group’s namesake. Nelson, a longtime friend and bandmate of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, going back to their coffeehouse days in the early ‘60s, often wrote songs with Hunter. He also joined Garcia in the early versions of New Riders of the Purple Sage and later on Broadway with the Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band. The current version of the DNB features co-founders Barry Sless and Mookie Siegel, along with Pete Sears, Wally Ingram and Jay Lane.

It is almost implausible that Lettuce has been together since 1992 – 34 years! The funk band that is so much more than just funk tour constantly and their show at The Bellwether near downtown Los Angeles epitomized what makes them so special live. The energetic crowd fed off the band’s vibe and their two plus hours show included songs from their recent album Cook back to their earliest releases plus covers of tracks by artists that inspired their sound.
