RECAP
Billy Strings spent his Wednesday evening on stage at the BOK Center in Tulsa. The concert arrived on the heels of the maestro and his band’s debut appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk, where they performed originals, reflected on the program’s influence, and made mention of Strings’ initial audition before receiving the official invite to participate in the YouTube streaming standard. Last night’s concert continued that momentum by showcasing pieces from their self-penned collection while leaving space for complementary covers that drew on their musical influences.
This spring, kick off festival season with 130+ artists across 6 unique stages, set in the heart of Florida paradise. Vacation meets a full scale multi-genre camping festival for four days of music, art, wellness and community at OMF 2026.

Mike Devol: I have some memories of seeing the band before I joined. I don’t quite remember the first time, it might’ve been when I went on a date to a Greensky show at this brewery in Kalamazoo. At least I thought I was on a date, I don’t know if she would’ve called it a date. [Laughs.] Greensky was playing not on a stage or anything but just at the end of a bigger room on the floor by the windows.
