UPCOMING SHOWS

THE BAY AREA

This summer, The Masonic’s storied stage will host rare shows from Goose (May 27-28), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave (June 11), Tash Sultana (June 13), a split bill of Dispatch and John Butler (July 27) and many more. Catch these legends while you can!

Don’t miss 2 nights of Grateful Shred at The Independent on June 6 and 7. A far cry from their origins on shakedown street, Grateful Shred manage to channel that elusive Dead vibe: wide-open guitar tones, effortless three-part vocal harmonies, choogling beats, and yes, plenty of tripped out, Shredded solos. Be sure to get tickets while you can.

ON THE BEAT

On May 12, the Mayor of San Francisco, Daniel Lurie, took to Twitter/X and announced Dead & Company’s August 1-3 concerts at historic Golden Gate Park to celebrate the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary. The band confirmed the impending run, which will occur during Daze Between [Jerry Garcia’s August 1st birthday and August 9th passing], and the opening act.
