Earlier this month, Alex Ross Perry’s bizzare, confounding and glorious meta-docu-biopic Pavements began its limited release after more than years of anticipation. Today, one week out from its full-scale theatrical run, the film’s soundtrack has arrived, complete with a characteristically unpredictable mix of clips from the movie-in-movie Range Life: A Pavement Story, Perry’s 2022’s jukebox musical Slanted! Enchanted!, live versions and rehearsal tapes.

Coming off the success of their live appearances in New Zealand and Australia as part of their ongoing Elevation Tour, ZZ Top has dispatched a lineup update, sharing that their longtime drummer, Frank Beard, will rejoin the run for North American dates, beginning on June 1 in Victoria, B.C.

Hudson River Music Festival has expanded its musical lineup with A Celebration of Pete & Toshi Seeger, led by Grammy-winning folk legend Tom Chapin and featuring 94-year-old Seeger collaborator David Amram (Langston Hughes, Dizzy Gillespie) and The Chapin Sisters. The hour-long set, scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at 11 a.m., is the first in a packed day of live musical entertainment.
