The 45-track collection will be divided into nine different “constellations,” each of which will feature five tracks. The expansive set is Derek Vincent Smith’s first full-length Pretty Lights effort since 2013’s A Color Map of the Sun and first major release since the artist took a break from 2018-2023 to focus on “himself and his music,” though he has released several EPs and live sets in that time. The initial 15 songs from A Trip Thru Time Fantastic can now be heard on Pretty Lights’ homepage.
