Brian Wilson, co-founder and principal songwriter for the Beach Boys, has died. The musician’s family confirmed his passing on social media. The creative force behind the mid-century pop-focused favorites, who contributed to California’s cool and laid-back aesthetic, passed away at age 82.

Yesterday, June 11, Machine Gun Kelly shared the official album announcement trailer for his forthcoming project, lost americana, due on August 8. The clip, which highlights single, “clichè,” also appears to be narrated by Dylan.

The Barr Brothers are back with their long-awaited fourth full-length LP, Let It Hiss, due on October 17, on Secret City Records. The impending 10-track collection chronicles a period of revision and transformation that allowed Brad and Andrew Barr to refine their pursuits and vulnerably channel their musical bond as brothers and creative accomplices. The group shares the album’s title track as an initial preview of their latest chapter in the studio.

For a band that was formed only three years ago, the Boston-based trio Tiny Habits has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with. While students at the city’s Berklee College of Music, Cinya Khan, Maya Rae and Judah Mayowa discovered that their vocal harmonies were rather exquisite during some informal sessions. Before long, they were writing songs, posting videos and releasing recordings.

The Crosby Collective is headed East for the first time. The ensemble led by multi-instrumentalist and Phil Lesh collaborator, Jason Crosby, will bring their blend of esteemed classic rock and jam-influenced mash-ups to two locations this summer, Woodstock, N.Y.’s Bearsville Theater on August 5, and the heart of Manhattan for an appearance at Sony Hall on August 6.
