Major Labels Announce Deal with AI Music Startup

This past year represented an extraordinary milestone for the Grateful Dead. The group debuted in 1965 and continues to inspire and elevate listeners in 2025. This vivid legacy is honored in the new Relix softcover book, 60 Years of The Grateful Dead Experience.

Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group and Sony Music have all negotiated a licensing deal with Klay Vision Inc., an AI music technology company. WMG’s signing yesterday made Klay, a self-described “ethical AI” company, the first to land a deal with the three major label groups. Bloomberg reported that the deal will provide the foundation for a new streaming service that will allow users to remake songs in different styles; with access to the major labels’ sprawling catalogs, Klay will now be able to train its models using millions of recordings.

The Chambers Project presents "60 Years of the Grateful Dead” the most comprehensive exhibition of original Dead related artwork ever assembled. Opening Dec. 6 in Grass Valley, CA, the retrospective brings together “the holy grails of Grateful Dead art."

Curated by Brian Chambers, featured artists include Rick Griffin, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, Victor Moscoso, Wes Wilson, Bill Walker and Owsley “Bear” Stanley.

On Dec. 5, a once in a lifetime concert event will kick off the weekend with White Lightning, a GD Supergroup of Grahame Lesh, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, John Molo, Elliot Peck and George Michalski. Catch them at The Bodhi Hive in Nevada City, CA.
