NEWS: JUNE 2025

Tonight, Phish will return to the spotlight to kick off their highly anticipated Summer Tour. With the first of three performances at Manchester, N.H.’s SNHU Arena–their second staging to date at the venue–the legendary jam quartet will start up a 23-show sprint across the country that will keep them on the road through July 27. Yesterday, just before the run, the band sent out a message to its fans establishing some new ground rules for the floor in an effort to provide a fair experience for attendees.

Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, the feminine force and vocal powerhouse behind the Grateful Dead from 1971 to 1979, passed away yesterday, Sunday, November 2, 2025, after a battle with cancer.

RECAP: MARCH 2025

Dead & Company’s second residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere continued last night. A day after debuting their take on the Grateful Dead-adopted Spencer Davis Group original “Gimme Some Lovin’,” Dead & Company introduced another tune into their repertoire. This time the decade-old ensemble busted into Eric Clapton’s 1970 Slowhand favorite “Lay Down Sally” four songs into their first set. Though the Grateful Dead proper never performed “Lay Down Sally,” Jerry Garcia Band performed the Clapton cut approximately 50 times between 1990-1995. Dead offshoots Phil Lesh & Friends and Billy & the Kids have interpreted the number more recently.

Goose have announced that percussionist Jeff Arevalo is no longer a member of the band. The band made its lineup change known with an announcement posted to its social channels that sheds some light on the shift, most notably that Arevalo’s departure was decided by the group to uphold “the values that define our community.” This definitive update follows Arevalo’s announcement in early February that he would take a hiatus from touring and alludes to the possibility of the band proceeding as a quartet.

Carlos Santana has issued an official statement on a false story claiming that he criticized the NFL’s decision to book Bad Bunny for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. In a statement, the guitarist says:

RECAP: APRIL 2025

Sturgill Simpson is a man of action. Just over a decade into his recording career, in which he’s continually subverted expectations with each new album, the pioneering progressive-country phenomenon continues to surprise fans on stage night after night. On Monday, April 7, Simpson brought on another plot twist with a surprise performance at Austin, Texas’ Stubbs Bar-B-Q, which saw him serve up a sprawling three-and-a-half-hour, 38-song marathon set at the intimate local staple.

RECAP: FEBRUARY 2025

Billy Strings has completed the first three-night block of concerts in a series total of six locationally specific gigs at ExploreAsheville.com Arena in Asheville, N.C. The initial night on stage, Feb. 6, found the bluegrass favorite nodding to performances past, specifically his 2022 Halloween Lord of the Rings-themed run, by teasing in the “Fellowship of the Ring.” The evening initiated a motif of bust-outs and first-time plays, which persisted throughout the weekend.
