Billy Strings turned in two performances over the weekend. The concerts arrived after the Michigan-bred guitarist ignited the Universal Monsters theme during his Halloween show at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. The five-piece followed up the night after, November 1, with aid from members of Leftover Salmon, before their latest live return. On Friday, November 7, Strings and his band took the stage at the PPG Paints Arena for the first time, delivering songbook standards alongside revived selections that struck a chord and evoked the prominence of tradition and this group’s instrumental repartee.

“There was a period in my life where I got to work with all my heroes. I got to work with Bob Dylan and watch him write. I got to work with Willie Nelson, Brian Wilson, Kris Kristofferson, and Mick and Keith. When I saw what they were doing, it gave me writer’s block for about five or six years,” Don Was reveals, as he acknowledges the immediate impact of producing records for such masterful artists. “Every time I sat down at a piano, I’d think, ‘What’s the point of this when these guys are just down the street and can do it way better?’”

But what can you actually DO about the proclaimed ‘AI bubble’? Billionaires know an alternative…

Sure, if you held your stocks since the dotcom bubble, you would’ve been up—eventually. But three years after the dot-com bust the S&P 500 was still far down from its peak. So, how else can you invest when almost every market is tied to stocks?

Lo and behold, billionaires have an alternative way to diversify: allocate to a physical asset class that outpaced the S&P by 15% from 1995 to 2025, with almost no correlation to equities. It’s part of a massive global market, long leveraged by the ultra-wealthy (Bezos, Gates, Rockefellers etc).
