The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced the nominees for its Class of 2026. Seventeen massive acts are listed as candidates this year, including first-time nods for Jeff Buckley, Phil Collins, Lauryn Hill and Wu-Tang Clan. Not all of them will make the final cut; if history serves as an example, just under half will be enshrined among music’s greatest names.

The Owsley Stanley Foundation has shared details on its latest project and forthcoming release. The 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, dedicated to the preservation of Bear’s Sonic Journals, has concentrated its efforts on cultivating a 112-page booklet of original essays, photographs, and recordings that emphasize the soundman and self-taught chemist’s relationship with Grateful Dead founding member Phil Lesh.

The Claypool Lennon Delirium have returned to herald their third studio album, The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy. Set to release on May 1 via ATO Records, the leftfield psychedelic duo of Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon’s first full-length release since 2019’s South of Reality is hailed as their most bizarre offering yet, passing the high bar of their earlier output with a sprawling narrative world of AI-powered optimization without conscience. To preview the project, they’ve shared the second single, “The Golden Egg of Empathy,” featuring WILLOW and paired with an animated music video.

The Eagles will continue to soar. The ensemble, known for its melodic sound that calls for cowboy boots worn on wide, sandy stretches of the California shoreline, has unveiled a trio of live appearances that will take them beyond Las Vegas’ Sphere and into the Southern US, beginning on Tuesday, May 5. The five-time running, Follow The Arrow will return on Saturday, June 27, to Catskills’ Griffin House in Palenville, N.Y. Hosted by Marco Benevento, the event has unveiled its roster of artists who will participate in the one-day music-centric gathering, with songs flowing from multiple acts from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., followed by late-night DJ-led dance parties, 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
