Step into Boojum’s Electric Wonderland at Brooklyn Bowl on WED, OCT 22!
The psych-dance band unveils Electric Theatre, their groundbreaking fusion of music and stagecraft
Brooklyn psych-dance band Boojum headlines Brooklyn Bowl on Wednesday, October 22 with Electric Wonderland, bringing their own concept of Electric Theatre, a fusion of rock music, theatrical storytelling, and immersive visuals, fully to life. Years of performing and experimenting have shaped the show, combining music, movement, projections, lighting, and improvisation into an experience like nothing anyone has seen before.
The show builds on Boojum’s extensive Brooklyn presence. From early runs at The Sultan Room to a four-show residency at Brooklyn Art Haus, the band has refined Electric Theatre through dozens of live performances, constantly evolving their sound and immersive approach. Electric Wonderland represents the peak of that work, with even more ambitious shows on the horizon.
The band, Chris Mackin (guitar), Josh Santiago (guitar), Sarah Elaz (bass), and Mike Coiro (drums), is joined by Bushwick’s Dead regulars and guests, including Honey Marmalade, Henry Ryder, Jason Fio, and Michael Butler (Bearly Dead). Presented by Bushwick’s Dead, Brooklyn Bowl’s house band and jam collective with an ongoing residency, the ensemble delivers a multi-sensory performance with surprises the audience won’t see coming.
The night starts early with an electronic improv set from People’s Palace, featuring Ben Ross and Ethan Smestad. From start to finish, expect an evening that pushes every boundary of live performance, immersive, unpredictable, and completely new, with Boojum at the center of it all.
