Goose Spring Tour is Underway…

Goose kicked off their spring tour with an arena date at Asheville, NC’s famed Civic Center. The gig also began the Connecticut-bred group’s Big Modern! era— last week, the quartet announced that they would release their sixth LP in June and Friday’s show kicked off with one of the forthcoming LP’s tracks, “Media,” which has been in the live rotation since September 2024.

After a spirited first set that included extended segues from “Spirit Of The Dark Horse” into “Rockdale” and from “One In, One Out” into “Atlas Dogs,” Goose really showcased their Big Modern! music during set two. The sequence opened with the song “Big Modern!” itself, which moved seamlessly into standby “Animal.” Then, Goose debuted another track from the LP, the funky, “Good2B,” which was released as a single this week as well. That cut segued into “Pancakes,” before they closed the set with their first take on “Arise” since September 27, 2024. A cover of The Band’s classic “Don’t Do It” served as the encore.
