On October 23, Billy Strings played his first stateside gig since submitting six performances, which took him and his band from Oslo to Dublin earlier this month. The bluegrass-informed musician’s transatlantic return assisted in shaking the dust off his binder of cover material. It loosened pages of lyrics that informed a series of returns, songs that this group has not played in enough time to catch the attention of those in attendance.
Following the acclaim of the first two releases, Craig is back with the third single off his forthcoming full length album (his sixth release), due in early 2026. "Some Peace of Mind" is a blazing horn-laden blues piano rocker, sure to get butts shaking!

From the late ‘60s to the start of the ‘70s, The Doors emerged as the face of a bold new guard in rock, sharing a string of unprecedented albums that forever altered popular music. Featuring the magnetic Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, the Los Angeles quartet pooled their talents and marked their unique perspective with a heady brew of rock, blues, and psychedelia. After their final album, L.A. Woman, and Morrison’s sudden passing in 1971, their ride came to an end, but not before solidifying their status as one of the greatest bands of their era and leaving an enduring influence on generations of artists to come.
Willie Nelson is an icon of Austin City Limits. His 1990 show captures him and his family band in peak form, delivering timeless classics with that unmistakable voice and phrasing that make Willie Nelson a genre of his own. Susan Tedeschi also embodies the heart and soul of ACL, blending blues, rock, soul, and funk with fearless authenticity, even reimagining Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.” And Widespread Panic, whose Halloween 2000 performance was a night to remember. The band’s jam-fueled energy and the crowd’s ecstatic spirit are on full display during “Driving Song” > “Surprise Valley” > “Driving Song.”

On Thursday evening, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead arrived on the West Coast for the first in a string of regional concerts that picked up at the Channel 24 Venue in Sacramento, Calif. As expected from the Grateful Dead cover band, the concert consisted of borrowed material and associated covers, including the complete delivery of Eric Clapton’s “Lay Down Sally.” While the Grateful Dead never covered the jam vehicle, the Jerry Garcia Band played it over 50 times in the 1990s. Notably, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has teased the cover, but this was the first time it received complete coverage.
