The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled a second group of presenters and performers for its 2025 induction ceremony, set to stage at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on Nov. 8. Nineteen artists and groups will now appear alongside the initial slate of 18 in the standard-bearing music institution’s 40th annual celebration, including Tedeschi Trucks Band, Mick Fleetwood, Nathaniel Rateliff, Chappell Roan and The Killers.

In February, Marshall Allen dropped his debut solo LP, New Dawn, at the age of 100, earning designation in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest person to release an album of new material. The Psychedelic Arts and Culture Trust will commemorate the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary this December with a coupled offering of music and art. The first event is billed as a one-night-only concert from Grateful Dead supergroup White Lightning, on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the Bodhi Hive in Nevada City, Calif., followed by an art show featuring original works used as poster and album art on Saturday, Dec. 6, at The Chambers Project in Grass Valley, Calif.

Eric Krasno, Cory Henry and Robert “Sput” Searight have joined forces to form The Heavyweights on a new Relix Sessions vinyl release. Captured during their debut staging at Los Angeles’ The Mint on July 29, the supergroup of funk firebrands’ first recording features ripping takes on iconic songs, reinvented in their distinctive emerging language of guitar, keyboard and drums. The trio’s live recording is only the beginning of a promising run, extended today with the announcement of new dates in 2026.

Next week, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will travel to New York for a special benefit concert. Staging at City Winery on November 4, the event will pull together an “All Star” ensemble of storied Preservation Hall players, including creative director Ben Jaffe, Branden Lewis, Clint Maedgen, Jafet Perez, Ronell Johnson, Revon Andrews, Josh Starkman, Nick Salcido and Kyle Roussel.

Grateful Shred have announced plans to “head north.” The Los Angeles ensemble, known for their full-tilt covers of the Dead’s original material and associated covers, will set off on a nine-stop jaunt, beginning on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, Calif. The band’s impending live appearances succeed the release of their debut record, Might as Well, released in June.

The Wood Brothers have announced a new slate of Winter 2026 tour dates. From Jan. 29 to March 7, the two-decade roots trio of brothers Chris and Oliver Wood and Jano Rix will make 16 stops across the Southeast and Midwest. The band’s next outing will continue the live celebration of Puff of Smoke, their ninth studio album, which arrived to acclaim in August.

Spooky season and Warren Zevon go hand in hand. The “Werewolves of London” singer, known for his Bible-black-tinged rock-and-roll tales, was the subject of celebration on Friday, October 24, at Los Angeles’ United Theater. “Join Me in LA: The Songs of Warren Zevon” tribute concert featured an extensive 30+ song set performed by friends and admirers, one week out from Halloween.

Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit have announced a new batch of 2026 tour dates. From January to July, the celebrated Americana ensemble will deliver 29 new group performances at venues across the country. The full-band performances fall between legs of Isbell’s previously announced solo tour, which continues the live celebration for Foxes in the Snow, his recently released solo acoustic record.

With Halloween fast approaching, George Porter Jr. is issuing a celebratory reminder that he and the Runnin’ Pardners will “funk you to death” on Friday, October 31, at New Orleans’ Chickie Wah Wah venue. The two-set performance is billed to feature special guests, celebrated trombonist Mark Mullins, the contributor to countless funk outputs, and Grammy-nominated guitarist Brian Stoltz.
