Trey Anastasio Live and Acoustic may have only been recorded last year, but it was years in the making. While steadily outputting blue-ribbon tunes for Phish’s catalog (“What’s Going Through Your Mind”) and for his namesake band (“All Pretending”), Anastasio has simultaneously been accumulating a quieter, more song-oriented cache to fortify his episodic acoustic tours with songs that appear calibrated for the format—songs like “Lost in the Pack” and “A Little More Time,” both of which hit in some kind of idealized way here.
Dream Chaser is Willie Nelson’s 79th solo studio album and 156th album overall, balancing intimate narratives with universal themes of perseverance, timing, and clarity.

The Garden State-budded ensemble has released “Cameras.” The evocative new single unfurls honey-dipped coos as peaceful as a morning dove greeting the first light of a new day. On the new number, the band tapped guest vocalist Lindsay Lou, who accentuates the track with her harmonies, an ethereal touch that glints communal music.

As frontman for King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Stu Mackenzie doesn’t have much time to focus on anything else. Since 2010, the shapeshifting Australian psych-rock disruptors have won a reputation as one of the hardest-working bands active today, and Mackenzie’s singular focus on the project has charged an unrelenting recording and touring routine.
