Last November, the world lost Todd Snider, the prolific musician, master storyteller and Americana journeyman. Through three decades of recordings, the singer-songwriter earned recognition as a great satirist tapped into the unsung minutiae of the human experience, extolled with his signature brand of wit and candor. To honor his towering legacy, Luck Presents has announced Todd Snider Rules!, a tribute concert featuring a star-studded cast of his friends and fans.

“I find playing music for other human beings in the same room to be a quasi-religious experience,” Holly Bowling professes. “It is the most connected to other people through wordless expression that I have ever known. It’s also the closest thing to a religious experience for me internally when everything is really clicking.” She shares this observation while musing on the artistic objectives and personal predilections that prompted her to transition from performing and teaching classical piano to pursuing less traditional forms of expression on the instrument.

With a career spanning over 50 years, including an interlude supporting Miles Davis, the renowned guitarist John Scofield is looking to excavate the layers of his career in front of a live audience this fall. Supporting Scofield is a top-tier ensemble of seasoned musicians, including drummer Adam Deitch (Lettuce), bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Co., Allman Brothers), and keyboardist Larry Goldings (Scary Goldings, James Taylor).

This rare 1988 concert poster by artist Arlene Owseichik captures the Jerry Garcia Band's performance at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. The 13 x 19.25 inch piece represents a significant artifact from the Fillmore's storied concert series. Surviving in very good condition as rare deadstock, it stands as a genuine piece of Grateful Dead-adjacent history from an era celebrated in the Gabba Gallery x Relix exhibition Echoes of Gen X: The Art of the Fillmore 80s-00s. Metallica have formally announced a new residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere. Following months of speculation, the legendary metal outfit has confirmed a run of eight shows at the technologically unparalleled venue, comprising four pairs of performances on October 1 and 3, 15 and 17, 22 and 24, and 29 and 31. The band’s Life Burns Faster residency will hold to their No Repeat Weekend standard initiated on their M72 World Tour, with no songs doubled across the Thursday and Saturday sets in the series.
