Just days after wrapping up Phish’s action-packed Riviera Maya run, Trey Anastasio has announced a pair of symphony shows for this summer.

On Saturday night, the Americana Music Association united an all-star cast of the genre’s foremost performers to celebrate one of its foundational figures with the Americanafest Pre-Grammy Salute To The Songs Of Neil Young. Onstage at Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour, a litany of singer-songwriters paid tribute to Young’s songbook in an intimate evening of covers benefitting Musicares.

In 2000, the Coen brothers’ O Brother, Where Art Thou? spurred a revolution in American roots music. The groundbreaking musical film recast Homer’s Odyssey in the Depression-era South with a T Bone Burnett-produced soundtrack of period folk music, featuring some of the foremost talents in traditional music and its contemporary innovation; upon its release, the album became every bit as beloved as the film it accompanied, stoking a new Americana revival that rages on to this day. In light of this legacy, the Grand Ole Opry has unveiled its plans to mark the soundtrack’s 25th anniversary with a one-night-only musical celebration.
