Last night, Marc Maron led a stacked cast of comedians in a benefit show for the Divided Sky Foundation at Los Angeles’ Largo at the Coronet. Before a program that featured sets from Maron, Sarah Silverman, Nick Kroll and John Mulaney to support the nonprofit organization’s addiction counseling resources and residential recovery program, Divided Sky founder Trey Anastasio delivered a surprise solo acoustic set.

A myriad of artists will take part in Wavy Gravy’s 90th birthday bash and benefit concert on May 16 at the Masonic in San Francisco. The counterculture personality and hippie activist will be honored by a roster of musical talent, led by Steve Earle, Todd Rundgren and Rickie Lee Jones. The event also doubles as a giveback for Seva, “a global nonprofit eye care organization that works with local communities around the world to develop self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight.”

Willie Nelson & Family have extended their spring tour with seven new performances. From May 14-24, the country legend and his trusty touring ensemble, featuring his sons Lukas and Micah Nelson, will add another leg to their previously announced lap around the Southeast and Texas, venturing back into the region for performances in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. The upcoming run will support the release of Dream Chaser, Nelson’s 156th album (give or take), due to release on May 29 via Sony Music Entertainment.

Radiohead have announced their plans to bring KID A MNESIA into the real world with a touring exhibition of the immersive film and art installation. The project, originally released in 2021 as a virtual experience for PS5, PC and Mac accompanying the combined reissue of 2000’s Kid A and 2001’s Amnesiac, will premiere at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with Motion Picture House, an audiovisual installation built to house it. After its presentations over the next two weekends, Motion Picture House and KID A MNESIA will move on to limited runs in four North American cities.

On Tuesday, April 7, musical match Gillian Welch and David Rawlings brought their panache for the Grateful Dead’s 1980s acoustic chapter to Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw, N.C. The pair’s current live itinerary takes inspiration from the Dead’s double live record, Reckoning, a 16-track collection that draws on traditional material, covers and select originals. Welch and Rawlings’ latest appearance pulled heavily from the tour’s namesake set, and accounted for debuts of three songs: “Casey Jones,” “Sugaree” and Uncle John’s Band.”

Grateful Shred is looking ahead and forecasting their Fall Tour. The band, known for its beachfront cowboy approach to the Grateful Dead’s songbook, will kick off its imminent live itinerary on Oct. 28 at the Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, Conn. The bulk of the run is divided into regional appearances, beginning in the Northeast before moving to select cities in the US’ midsection.
