At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, as the live music world came to a complete halt with lockdown restrictions, Trey Anastasio advanced a new kind of concert. Over the course of eight consecutive fall Fridays, the legendary Phish frontman appeared before an empty room at New York’s legendary Beacon Theatre and pored over his four-decade discography in free weekly livestreams, fostering community in a time of crisis. The Beacon Jams represented an artistic triumph for the musician and rang in a new era of fearless innovation in his solo and full-band work, all while raising more than $1.2 million to establish the Divided Sky Residential Recovery Program. Now, five years later, Anastasio has announced his plans to celebrate the legacy of the unforgettable series by returning to the storied stage.

Tom “TC” Constanten, the Grateful Dead’s contributor on keys from 1968 to 1970, is asking for financial support through the launch of a GoFundMe campaign to assist in the coverage of his medical expenses. Notably, Constanten retired from the road in 2024, despite one-off appearances since his retirement, including participation in Relix’s 50th anniversary concert at Brooklyn Bowl New York in January of this year.

Fans of Eddie Van Halen will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a historic instrument from the legendary virtuoso guitarist’s collection. The musician’s esteemed 1982 Kramer electric guitar will be on display beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13, through Saturday, August 16, at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey, Calif., before headlining Sotheby’s Rock & Pop auction on October 24, during Grails Week, October 21-28.
