Todd Snider, the prolific musician, master storyteller and Americana journeyman, passed away in Nashville on Friday, Nov. 14. Through a lifetime of travels and three decades of recordings, the singer-songwriter earned recognition as a great satirist tapped into the unsung minutiae of the human experience, extolled with his signature brand of wit and candor. He was 59.

In 1975, Pink Floyd released their pinnacle, certified gold record, Wish You Were Here. Five decades later, the spellbinding set is receiving special attention through the arrival of Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pts. 1-9, New Stereo Mix). The Jazz Mandolin Project will return in 2026 for its first tour in two decades. From Feb. 4-7, the beloved Burlington, Vt.-based outfit formed by genre-bending string master Jamie Masefield will set out on its first run of dates since the summer of 2004, embracing a new improvisational chemistry with bassist Danton Boller, trumpeter/multi-instrumentalist Michael “Mad Dog” Mavridoglou and Phish drummer Jon Fishman.

As he continues to wind around the country with his high-concept live show, David Byrne has shared “T-Shirt,” a new studio single. The Talking Heads frontman’s latest offering follows his ninth solo studio album Who Is The Sky?, which arrived to widespread acclaim in September, and has been a setlist staple on the tour supporting his release.

MJ Lenderman and Waxahatchee have announced a co-headline tour for 2026. From April 13 to May 6, the standard-bearing indie-Americana trailblazers and frequent collaborators will unite for 18 stops across the country. The duo will perform independently and together on all shared dates, with support from rising alt-country singer-songwriter Brennan Wedl.
