Bob Dylan and Machine Gun Kelly’s rapport continues. Yesterday, June 11, the rapper shared the official album announcement trailer for his forthcoming project, lost americana, due on August 8. The clip, which highlights single, “clichè,” also appears to be narrated by Dylan.

Margo Price has announced the August 29 release of her forthcoming album, Hard Headed Woman, via Loma Vista Records. Previous collaborator Matt Ross-Spang produced the new set, which features duets between the songstress and Tyler Childers, as well as the social media music sensation Jesse Welles.

Revered bassist Oteil Burbridge has shared the dates and locations of his six-stop headlining tour. Oteil & Friends’ impending run will occur on the East Coast and is stacked ahead of the group’s highly anticipated return to Suwannee Roots Revival in Live Oak, Fla., on October 9 through 12, the final date in a stretch of in-person appearances, which begins on October 1, at the Waterville Opera House in Waterville, Maine.

David Byrne has announced the release of his first album in seven years, Who Is The Sky?, due on September 5 via Matador Records. The impending studio effort builds on the musical foundation Byrne laid via his 2018 critically acclaimed American Utopia. As an initial preview of his latest creative endeavor, Byrne has shared the first single and official music video for “Everybody Laughs.” In addition, the artist delivered an extensive global tour schedule, featuring coast-to-coast appearances in the US.

Sly Stone, the fearless innovator behind Sly & The Family Stone, has died. As the frontman, singer, songwriter, organist and producer for the legendary psychedelic soul ensemble, Stone created generational anthems that challenged the injustices of his era through joy and shook the foundations of popular music, laying the foundation for fusion, funk and more. He was 82.
