Widespread Panic have confirmed their New Year’s plans. The Southern jam-titans will ring in 2027 with shows at Charlotte, NC’s Bojangles Coliseum on December 30 and 31. Though once a regular stop for the band, Widespread Panic have not performed in the Queen City since a December 31, 2014, show at Time Warner Cable Arena, which was also their most recent New Year’s gig in North Carolina.

Rainbow Body will release their self-titled debut on Friday, October 23. The ensemble, which brings together Taylor Goldsmith and Griff Goldsmith (Dawes), Rick Mitarotonda (Goose), Eric Krasno (Lettuce, Soulive), Ross James (Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band) and Adam MacDougall (Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Circles Around the Sun), recently recorded the set at Flóki Studios in Iceland. Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, The Allman Brothers Band) and Nicki Bluhm also made guest appearances on the album.

Little Feat has added a handful of dates to The Last Farewell Tour. The veteran act has also officially announced that 2027 will mark the end of their extended, multi-year final outing. Additional shows will be confirmed in the coming months, and Little Feat have also previously said that they will continue making one-off appearances after the run is over.

Old Crow Medicine Show returned to Shelburne, VT’s The Green at Shelburne Museum on Friday and used the occasion to nod to area heroes Phish. At the top of their encore, Old Crow debuted their take on the bouncy Phish cut “The Wedge,” a favorite from 1993’s Rift, even sneaking in a few “Tweezer” teases during their string-band variation on the tune. Old Crow frontman Ketch Secor and several other band members are old-school Phish fans and the outfit has a tradition of debuting Phish songs while in the Shelburne.

On Saturday, Guster closed out a run of shows supporting The Avett Brothers at Vienna, VA’s Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. At the end of their set, the Boston-bred ensemble invited out Avett Brothers fiddler Tania Elizabeth to assist on their original “Jesus on the Radio,” which appears on 2003’s Keep It Together. Also of note, during their set, The Avett Brothers offered their cover of The Cranberries’ “Linger” for the second time this week. As previously reported, the group busted out the tune in New Haven, CT, for the first time since 2018.

Nicole Atkins celebrated the release of her seventh album, and first in over six years, Drama during Nashville’s Americana AmericanaFest last week. Atkins performed multiple times during the city-wide event, including an official showcase at Analog at the Hutton Hotel on Friday, the LP’s official release date.

These songs were born out of a writing and recording trip to London, where Janeway and the band worked with producer Eg White (Adele, Florence + the Machine), as well as having roots at famed Alabama studio Muscle Shoals.

Zac Brown Band brought the September leg of their Love & Fear tour to a close at Hollywood, FL’s Hard Rock Live on Saturday. The country-crossover act has been performing numerous covers every night, dedicating the entirety of their encores to crowd favorites. In Hollywood, they also dusted off their take on Charlie Daniels Band’s “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” for the first time this summer, just two songs into the night.

The Disco Biscuits will stage a five-night run throughout Colorado this January. The quartet’s tour through the Centennial State will kick off at Aspen’s Belly Up on January 5, before making stops at Beaver Creek’s Vilar Performing Arts Center on January 6 and Denver’s Ogden Theatre from January 7-9.
